I found Edward Nixon in the 1840 census in Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania. Also, there's a John McCurdy conveniently on the same page. Funny how that works. At first I thought this was Lucretia Eddy's father, but he's way too young for that. Maybe a cousin though. The censuses from 1840 and earlier get a little harder to decipher because they just give the head of house and then tick marks for everyone else.
