I found a record of the marriage license for Balford Doherty and Mary Ida Dundon. It says:

Jeremiah Dorherty in the 1860 Census

Here is another Balford Daugherty in the 1860 census. He is the son of a Jeremiah and Mary Dorherty, living in Illinois. I wonder if I can tie him in too. Jeremiah could be the other unknown son of Balford Sr.
