Joshua and Lavina Daugherty in 1850 Census

Here are Joshua and Lavina Daugherty again in the 1850 Census. Only Lavina's name is completely spelled out, the rest are just first initials. I wonder why. That made it kind of hard to find.

This family is actually in FamilySearch with Lavina's maiden name as Conger. Apparently her family has been pretty well filled out. The oldest daughter's name is listed as Elizabeth. Most of the information in FamilySearch matches the census data for the older kids pretty well, but FamilySearch has an extra son named Madison between Elias and Margaret. The data for the younger kids seems a bit jumbled in FamilySearch. I'll have to try to figure it out later.

Joshua and Lavina Daugherty in the 1860 census

I found another Dougherty family from Ohio with a son named Balford and a daughter named Catharine. They are living in Champaigne Co. Illinois. This must be one of Balford Daugherty Sr.'s elder sons. There were two in the early censuses that were just tick marks that I had no names for. Now I just need to figure out the other one.
